Crescent Electric Accepts the ALS Challenge

EAST DUBUQUE, Illinois August 27, 2014 — Crescent Electric Supply's President and CEO Marty Burbridge and Senior Vice President Dick Schmid recently took the ALS Association's Ice Bucket Challenge to support the organization's efforts to #StrikeOutALS.

Schmid dedicated the challenge to the memory of a family member who struggled with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

The challenge involves raising awareness of ALS by getting doused with buckets of ice water on video, posting that video to social media, then nominating others to do the same. People can either accept the challenge or donate to an ALS charity. Most participants, like Burbridge and Schmid, choose to donate and take the challenge.
