Detailed Description: Lithonia 6-Inch Recessed IC/Non-IC housing has durable galvanized steel pan and features airtight construction. It measures 15 Inch x 13.875 Inch x 6.875 Inch. It is intended to use in new constructions only. Galvanized steel bares span up to 24 inches and features stepped shank nail and positioning guide with integral T-bar locks to hold fixture in position. Junction box is made of durable galvanized steel has built in romex clamps to protect wire from sharp edges of knockout hole. It features five 1/2 Inch and two 3/4 Inch knockouts with slots for pryout. Housing is sold as 6 per pack.

Housing has durable medium base porcelain socket with panel plated copper alloy screw shell and contact. Socket clips to top of housing to prevent paint overspray and it attaches to reflector to ensure proper and consistent lamp position. Socket is ideal for 120 Volts lamp and is thermally protected against improper lamp usage. Housing can accommodate maximum number of four 12 AWG wires and is rated at 90 deg C.

Air-tight housing is suitable for air-installations and best suits for 2 Inch x 8 Inch wood joist or T-bar installation. It features expandable bar hangers that allow for off-center mounting in wood joint or T-bar ceilings. Vertical adjustment of housing allows for flush mounting with ceiling face and is suitable for ceilings up to 1-1/2 Inch thick.
