Detailed Description: Lithonia / Acuity 4-Inch Housing is made of aluminum with galvanized steel pan and finds use in new construction applications. It has stepped shank nail and positioning guide with integral T-bar locks. The galvanized bar hangers span up to 24 inches and two locking screws maintain fixture in position. Housing features galvanized steel junction box with four built-in Romex clamps. It comes with expandable bar hangers that allow off-center mounting in wood joist or T-bar ceilings.

Housing has a medium-base porcelain socket with nickel-plated copper alloy screw shell and contact. The socket attaches to reflector to assure consistent lamp position. Socket clips are placed at top of housing to avoid paint overspray in socket screw shell. Housing offers thermal protection against improper lamp usage. It has ground wire and removable J-box doors for easy access. It measures 13.250 Inch x 12.1875 Inch x 5.250 Inch. Housing is damp location listed and UL listed.
