Detailed Description: 3M Cold shrink inline splice kit is ideal for 5/8-kilo-Volts cable with 350 - 1000 kcmil copper or 350 - 750 kcmil aluminum conductor sizes. It has overall jacket diameter of 0.90 - 2.10 Inch. Kit includes three Cold Shrink ™ splice insulators, Scotch ™ 2228 rubber mastic tape, three cleaning pad kits and one instruction sheet. Kit is used in manhole, vault, cable tray, junction box and duct for indoor/outdoor locations. It is used for splicing cable reel ends, cable dig-in repair and cable failure repair. Kit features insulators made of EPDM rubber to provide quick and easy installation. Mastic tape is used to eliminate time consuming penciling of cable insulation.
