Detailed Description: 3M Cold shrink connector insulator in black color is made of specially formulated EPDM material to provide permanent, durable environment sealing and insulation. It can accommodate 1250 - 2000 kcmil wires. Connector insulator has a voltage rating of 1000 Volts or less. It is non-shielded and has a temperature rating of -40 to 194 deg F. It offers tape shielding, wire shielding and unisheilding. Insulator has a relaxed tube length of 9 inches. Connector insulator is RoHS compliant and meets ANSI C1191.1 standards.

The live memory action of the specially formulated EPDM material promotes a permanent, durable environmental seal and insulation, with a typical operating temperature range from -40û194¦F (-40û90¦C).The 8420 insulator meets requirements of ANSI C119-1 and Western Underground Guide 2.14 for secondary splices rated up to 1 kV.Applications: Primary electrical insulation for all solid dielectric (rubber and plastic) insulated wire and cable splicing rated to 1000 V.
