Shell and extra pole

Choice of two grounding styles: Shell only and shell with extra pole to enable "make first, break last" grounding connections

Positive polarization: Only plugs and receptacles of the same style, number of poles and ampere rating can be used together

Circuit breaking: Any arcing is confined within terminal cavities when energized line and load terminals are disengaged (400 Amp plug is not designed for current rupturing)

Standard or reverse service (e.g., to supply power to a receptacle from the plug on a generator), field convertible

Non-metallic plug option

Used for motor generator units, welders, pumps, compressors, cellular relay stations and other fixed and portable electrical equipment

For shipping docks, ports, hose down environments and any other application that requires NEMA 4X protection, application that requires rugged, weather proof electrical connections

Detailed Description: Appleton Powertite® 4-Pole Pin and sleeve connector has a three-wire circuitry and has a cable of diameter 0.875 - 1.906 inches. Connector has a current rating of 100 Amps and voltage rating is 600 VAC/250 VDC. It has an operating frequency of 50 - 400 Hz. Connector is NEMA 3, 3R, 4, 4X rated.
